Jeff, I think you’re missing the point which Michael made. Artificial positivity like “cream rises” is not going to solve the issues of making a living shooting images. Pro photographers are like horses in 1915. There won’t be many left soon. The situation is brutal.
Michael, professions like photography have long required good people skills. In the new economy, people skills almost become the primary skill. Who you know, how you schmooze. It’s like a Renaissance court. The successful musician is the well-connected musician.
