Michael – I only talk about battery-powered strobes in the e-book. I do talk about the Alien Bees strobes that can be used with the Vagabond but I do not discus the Einstein strobe.

Nice, Congrats Michael. Looks thorough! I do use Einsteins for fast action (short pulse) location strobes, with the mini Vagabond on each they replace the profoto AcuteB 600 handily.

Michael and Kevin – I didn’t realize the Einsteins could be used with the Vagabonds. Good to know. When I update the book here at some point (a few years from now hopefully) I will have to mention that.

Michael – I think there is a lot of useful info in there above and beyond just the gear stuff though. So you might find the e-book informative.

I’ve read some article says that there are a number of picture styles which can be used when shooting in modes such as manual, aperture and shutter priority. The creative control modes can only be used as their own independent modes, but you can increase or decrease the level of their affect.

Excellent book Michael, very thorough. I would find myself asking a question to myself but you’d answer it later on in the book. I’ve also purchased and read Exposed and love it as well. My only complaint is the format for your books, kind of “clunky” for lack of better term. I’m used to books on Kindle, and I realize there may be issues with licensing etc. but it’s a minor critique for an otherwise great book.

Thanks for the comments on the e-book. The format is kind of clunky being that it is a PDF. I suppose that is old school. The reason that I format my e-books as a high res PDF is that many e-book readers, especially Kindle, cannot handle the high resolution images and they tend to place the images in strange places or cut them off. Also, e-pub formats massively reduce the image quality and I want people to be able to zoom in and see the images in detail. Kindles seem to do a great job with novels that don’t have any images but not so well with other books.

By the way, if you bought the e-book version of Exposed that book was formatted by PeachPit. And I believe they offered multiple versions for just about every e-reader. I have only seen the PDF version. Would be interesting to see the epub version on a Kindle.
