Plamen – The ELC 500 HD and 1000 HD are awesome strobes if you mainly work indoors and have access to electricity. You can’t go wrong with these guys. If you need battery-powered strobes then the ELB 400 is the way to go or the Rangers if you need more power.

I have been going through your reviews regarding the Elinchrom lights especially ELB 400 and ELC PRO HD 500/100.
I am looking forward to buy ELinchrom lights, and this would be my first lighting setup, I just need your support the best lights for me. so is there any possibility of comparing ELB 400 with Ranger spees AS.Am looking forward to buy lights which shall be useful for outdoor and as well as indoor.
But upon going through some of the reviews from you and online I understood one thing for out door we have to buy battery operated liights like (ELB 400 or Ranger Spees AS) and indoor ELC PRO HD 500 or 1000. Could you please suggest me in buying lights for me.

Shiva – The Ranger RX Speed AS is a more powerful (and slightly more expensive) version of the ELB400. What you should get all depends on your needs and how you work. The ELB400 can be used indoors and outside as well. But I hear you, it is easier to use something like the ELC Pro HD indoors. The 500 Ws ELC is probably more than enough power for most indoor shoots. You can also get a Godox battery to use the ELC Pro HD heads outside but then that is a pretty heavy setup. Right now, the ELB400 is the sweet spot for most photographers. I use those outside a lot and indoors as well. If there is a place to rent these different units I would try them out before buying so you can figure out for yourself what is the best options for your needs.
